Laurie Lee's name is synonymous with Spain and travel writing, but how much of what he wrote bears any relationship to the events and moments described in his works?

Find out the what the villagers got to say of the man who put their town on the map.

Listen to the 2 part audio account of Lee in southern Spain and read the accompanying PDF

Haven't Read the Book?

It's still a classic of travel literature even if not the most historically accurate account of the outbreak of war. And, in my humble opinion, essential reading for anyone with an interest in Spain, history, travel and culture.
