Hemmingway: Spain, Expats and War.

4/9/2012

Whatever you thought of the man, Hemingway had a lust for life. And it was perhaps for this reason that he found something deeply profound within himself during his time on Spain.

War critic, Bullfighting aficionado and tempestuous writer, the legend of Hemingway and Spain continue to this day. One of his exploits is told in this podcast by a friend who was invited by Hemingway to accompany him to a series of Bullfights.

If you want to read more on his thoughts about the Corrida, you may want to pick up a copy of Death in the Afternoon.

In the meantime, the Gazpachomonk presents the latest in his posters to Cut Out and Paste Up On Your BBQ Wall and savour the words he wrote about being an EXPAT.

And whie you are act it, you can catch the Tale of Hemingway at the Bullring, on this podcast here.
